She's different from the Chapayev because Cleveland has superior AA and RoF, aswell as a long lasting radar. Just like she is now, most people either love or hate the Cleveland, it's a very polarizing ship. Add in faster RoF and improved traverse and when played right, Cleveland at T8 will be insanely nasty. She can kite almost completely stern on and still bring all 4 turrets to bear and carry an extreme angle inward when pushing. Aswell, the Cleveland's ruddershift is incredibly dank, and the firing arcs on the main turrets are extremely good, I don't know of any other ship that has turret arcs like that. That kind of Cleveland brings unheard of firepower to bear, not even Atlanta can match it. 6s HE spam with DE and IFHE from hard cover onto battleships is INSANE. People can whine all they want about lead.if you play Cleveland enough you get used to it, and the ability to fire over certain hard cover with impunity is amazing and amusing. I'm going to say it, I hope they don't change the arcs. If she gets her "pre-correction" stats back she will be a terror once again - even at T8. The biggest change to her was the floaty shell arcs and loss of range due to the change in AFT. Her turrets rotated faster and, I seem to recall, she had a touch more stealth and a bit more fire chance. I had around 350 games in her before the "correction". Originally she had flatter shell arcs and longer range (due to AFT at the time). She might have been T8 in Closed Beta but she has been T6 since the start of Open Beta.

In short, Cleveland will be a hellish firestarter at T8. Her actual firing range will likely remain at 14.6km, but it might hit 15km. Rate of Fire will go from the current 8s reload to her historical 6s reload. HP and Main Battery are the same setup, but AA goes up, speed and rudder stay as it's already fast.ĭetection range might decrease slightly or stay the same. This would be the simplest way to implement the new ship from WG's perspective, but I don't think I would jump at the chance to take it into T8-10 battles.Īt Tier 8 and given the 'CL' path WG has made, she'll be made much differently. Same hull, overall gun arrangement for main, secondaries, and AA, along with same hit points, speed, and rudder response Conjecture, but here is one possible configuration when she comes out next year:
